About

Shopper Journey is a blog published by Dirk Reinhardt.

I post about shopper and retail marketing news, insights, strategies and case studies that I believe are brain food for entrepreneurial minds in the shopper and retail marketing arena.

I don’t see shopper or retail marketing just as in-store marketing. I see it as the final part of the consumer lifecycle or shopper journey and the first part of an integrated marketing approach across multiple contact channels and shopper experiences.

When I talk about shopper, I talk about the same people brands usually address with their marketing or communications, but with respect to people’s specific shopping needs, locations, goals, contexts, mindsets, missions and desired shopping experiences.

So, this blog is about the whole shopper journey which starts far away and long time before the store entrance - at home or the internet or on the street …

I devoutly believe that brands which shift their focus to understanding shoppers can seize their integrated communication approach and perform better in converting people into buyer.
